“It is very unlikely that the oxidation of Mn2+ to Mn3+ is caused by air. Mn2+ is the most stable manganese ion in air.”

据我个人推测,2009年6月,Chemistry - An Asian Journal 将第一次有影响因子,可能大于3,比New Journal of Chemistry 要强。

High First Immediacy Index for Chemistry—An Asian Journal
Chemistry—An Asian Journal started publication in July 2006, and the first year of full publication was 2007. For that year, Thomson Corporation (formerly ISI) measured an excellent immediacy index of 1.007 (145 citations in 2007 to 144 citable items in 2007). The immediacy index is similar to the one of Chemistry—A European Journal (1.033), Organic Letters (1.133), or the Journal of the American Chemical Society (1.397) and gives reason to expect a statistically sound, high impact factor for 2008.
The impact factor for 2007 was calculated on the basis of 220 citations in 2007 to 94 citable items in 2006. Chemistry—An Asian Journal has published only for the last six months in 2006 instead of the usual two-year period covered by impact factor calculations. Under these circumstances, it is encouraging that a value of 2.340 was obtained.
By mistake, these values were not published in the first version of the Journal Citation Report 2007, but will be added in autumn.
